What else should I buy??

205/40/17 is perfect on something like 17x7". Only need to go wider if you're having real issues getting traction from more power and in that case a 215 usually fixes it

Just bedded the brakes and it is a massive difference.. car stops so much quicker.. don't even need to press the peddle in as far to stop. so good. Have to get my exhaust fixed as the last person who change the rear muffler decided to put a muffler bracket in, instead of welding now it bangs against the sway bar.
Looks much better with the bigger brakes now.
Also after stopping i noticed a bit of smoke coming from the rotors.. does this mean they overheated or just some residue left on the rotors/pads??
Cheers

Are they new rotors or pads? Will just be their protective coating coming off during the bedding process

New or used, always will burn either grime from ur fingers or the protective layer, basically the *poo* that stops them rusting in the box. Either way, I'd go give them a fair wear in and stomp that pedal @about 80kmh

@rigby. They are both new rotors and Pads. Might just do what llus1v said
Haha
Much better with the new brakes regardless

Yeah part of the bedding process is initial start/stops at 80km/h a couple times to get them actually gripping and wear off the protective coating. Then another 500km of regular driving and they'll be ripe and ready

Now just need to take it easy for while then I can go for a good run and give them a good road test.
Alone with the front strut brace, feels so much better to drive
At this point not really to sure what else I should do at the moment
Wouldn’t mind discs on the rear but still hard to find

They aren't really a performance upgrade or necessary but they do at least look nice. Unless you're going 5stud, then it's just way easier to do a disc conversion. You can get them from a Proton Persona, Wira, M21 or GTi if you find a wreck. If you do, don't take the rotors or brake pads, get them new.
