bought, cut(after making newspaper template) and fitted black car carpet $20 to back parcel shelf. Looks great, protects vinyl.

Reduces sound?

Well, yet to be put in, but just got a pair of Evo VI Recaros after looking for ages. Will match my CE3 coupe interior nicely. They need a really good clean but overall very good condition. Nice 8 hour return trip to get them but worth it.

RA snorkel.jpg Well really didn't but bought for. New RA snorkel pt. no:1505A265 from Mitsubishi dealers paid $175. Was told when I rang them possible waiting time couple months or so. Pleasant surprise when I paid the money was told pick up next Friday.

That's a lot of cash on a stock intake. Should look sweet though. Interesting to hear the sound difference

RA intake is the first thing I see CJ owners do. Similar to Galant intakes on a 380. No immediate effects but one that delivers results when coupled with other mods like bigger TB, ported intake mani, exhaust etc. Makes *fudge* all diff to the intake noise though cus it uses the same piping and filter as stock. Just wider mouth to collect more air.

I think you will find used from wrecker (quoted $160) not much cheaper and that is if you can find one. Stock only on RA.

Just looking for smoother performance and hopefully marginal improvement in economy
Now it won't be sucking in hot air. Current snorkel has assisted intake point 25 X 3/16" holes underneath snorkel above battery.

Yes it is original and makes improvement to entry point in front, on car, (easy) essential on change over.
No point in thread showing what has to be done as there are already stacks of them. Although I will be doing things slightly differently.

Oh! and rigby hope your right about noise I prefer less. Will let you know.

Hey, just wondering

Where did you get those floormats with the Mitsubishi logo?

Looks good as well!

They came with the car when I bought it about 6 months ago. Pity the drivers side is worn through. Might see if I can get an upholsterer to cut a new piece in. Luckily it hadn't fully rubbed through when I got it so the floor underneath is still mint.

Looks good as well!

Thanks :) the seats look better than the pics, don't know what those white flecks are showing up in them. It's a work in progress, bit to do to it yet. Will have to start a build thread soon.

Seats look superb, magic. Re mats My car being current model CJ ES sport managed to score a set of RalliArt mats.

Nothing really done to car other than oil service and checking internals via removal of sump.
Am collecting bits though:
2 x tomei cam gears
Zaklee clear pulley cover
E9 intake manifold and Tb
10m of new black silicon vacuum hoses
Organising new cams (hks 274/278 and springs)

And and installed a true 3" custom ss exhaust with an xforce canon, so much loud.

Fitted RA Snorkel. Wow! Really pleased with results.
Refined sound at drivers seat, smoother throttle response. Cant qualify but feel better acceleration certainly smoother
Overall improvement worth every cent of $175 and more. CJ ES owners if you haven't got one get one.
Modified panel in front of snorkel added three rows of 1/4 inch holes between slits and snorkel
Could put in more holes but felt it would be overkill for 2ltr NA engine. appears to be right. All going well.RA Snorkel for AusLancer.jpg

Sound deadened, mainly under bonnet in engine bay, for the second time. Old one damaged by auto garage door coming down on it.
Will do a post including pictures soon. probably under CJ heading and maybe this one as well.
