Urgent help! Please!

Hey guys.

We today I got a road worthy guy to instect me car for a safety cert. And he could not locate the engine number.
Im in need of some help on finding it,

If anyone has a clue where it could be please help.

It is a 4G15 engine
 
If he couldn't find it, it may have been grinded off if it was stolen... :?
 
should be on the silver plate at the back of the engine bay as far as i know

Engine number is on the engine, the chassis number is on the chassis, I thought anyways.

On the CC's im pretty sure its stamper under the exhaust manifold.

Correct also, but there is also a sliver plate with the details on the firewall.
 
It's worrying that someone that does roadworthies can't find an engine number when it's right there in front of them where most manufacturers have them. As said it's near where the gearbox and engine meet right at the front near the exhaust, nice bit of flat metal sometimes if rusted some water/liquid will let you read the number properly.

I found it.
Ive got tge guy coming back tomorrow to finish the paper work then my baby can go on the road :)
