Any decent, but cheeper options for an underdrive pully kit then RPW which will be $210 all up..

what you recon its not worth it??
I dont think he's saying its not worth it, hes just saying, if you wanna be cheap and go for the cheapest option, then you might aswell just stay stock. Why bother modding if youre not willing to pay the price?

Do you especially want an underdriven pulley?

There are other lightweight pulleys available, for less money, that have some benefit because of reduced spinning mass....

Consider it.

well im just trying to get as much done as i can for under a grand haha, just thought there might be a lesser brand..

They do two different things..

One provides less taxable horsepower by spinning the accessories slower, the other just weighs less...

But, one needs a new pulley belt, which is factored into the cost.

Try not to do things to a price, which is a common and ugly theme on here... Why not do things in a considered and planned fashion, to get the very best out of each and every modification..

Go without, rather than regretting some junk, because you could afford it 'now'....

i can afford it tho.. ill just hve to make less mods, and do them right? alright so the RPW kits the way to go then??

i looked into the alutec and the underdrive, both from RPW, both will cost the same

RPW is the only ppl who make an underdrive for the 4g93, and i think jasma' are the only others to make a LW pully but theirs costs even more

I wont comment on which underdrive pulley... I have a lightweight.

I bought mine from RPW, although it's made in Malaysia out of 7015 hardened aircraft alloy... weighs less than half and makes the engine spin so much freer than before...

yep thats the one, thanks guys ill buy it now, thats all i need to know

HENS CAI , front and back strut braces and RPW underdrive kit all bought and on the way.. exciting

underdrive = win for drivability, power, torque, and confort (with the less power being sapped by aircon, so u can keep it on and not worry)
strutbraces = better confort in corners and less body roll, so better handling
CAI = bit o growl and some nice gains when its getting cold air

should be a decent improvment indeed

Strutbraces don't control body roll... they stop flexing and pantographing.

Sway bars control roll...

Plus, having a front strutbrace, when not doing rear or tying in the lower part of the car also can be less-than-satisfactory...

Just my 2c

did you send a query to RPW when u got the costing on the underdrive pully if it came with the belts needed?
just curious cos i will be buying that same pully for my new engine soon and dont want to have to fluff around finding the right belt size for another underdrive

this is tru, i was going to suggest a rear swaybar as a future mod
he has both front and rear struttys on the way

wow, will be a nice addition and really make it a fun drive, if getting sways also.. I really felt a change in mine when it all came together.

yeh i found my sway gave a massive difference, far more controlled around corners
combo with the rear strutbarce makes for a very stiff rear which is very good for handling in front wheel drive cars
but for a great gain there is a great cost ~$350 landed for CE's i believe
