Things I might do to my cc lancer (exterior mods).

Hey guys, I was just thinking what are some cool things that I could do to my cc lancer. I not thinking all crazy side skirts, rear wing and all but kinda just subtle touches. I'm not even sure If i want to go ahead with it cause tbh, my bank account is extremely low =P but hopefully the next buyer might like the cc if I do the mods to it so meh. Here's a few photos of the cc atm.

Here are some photos on how it looks:

So I was thinking a boot lip spoiler in black like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PAINTED-REAR ... 35c5c7e803 ( abt 30 dollars)

An Ez-Lip: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MERCEDES-BEN ... 2ec7e7b5a7 (about 30 dollars)

cut the three front things out and put a black wire mesh like this kinda ( http://www.uniqueautodepot.com/Billet-A ... 410260.htm ) in them, and after doing that do a side plate mount(is this wa legal?) like the evos do.Maybe black rims off gumtreehttp ( www.ozzytyres.com.au/store/motegi-racin ... k-red.html ) ? These are just ideas =P

Ahaha oh god, I'm useless here then :p You can get mesh cheaper at SCA and Autobarn, $30-40 for a big piece like 1m long. For the bootlip spoiler, seems like a decent idea but I'd colour-code it unless you get more black accents on your car to make it fit in more.

Now if you want big kits and even bigger spoilers, come to me ;)

Wheels wont fit dude. You need 4x100 and those are 5x112.

Cheers for the dimensions, It's just a rough idea of the kind of colour and style of wheels I want.

Yea I was thinking leaving the boot lip black and the ez-lip black with black rims or something so it's kind of a black silver theme, cheers for the cheer mesh thing. I wasn't gonna look at 80 bucks anyway... I just needed to find something that looked like something I wanted just to give you guys an idea of how i wanted it to look.

There's only room for one black-silver theme lancer in this town..

Haha only joking, plans sound good :)
Maybe you could do some front bar fodifying to black out some sections in front of the radiator

Looks like a tidy cc man. Tbh if your thinking of selling it dont touch it, it will ad zero value to the car and empty your pocket.

Haha possibly, although I have really absolutely no experience with anything to do with working on cars lol...

Yea Idk, I was thinking that... but looking at all these sweet cars on this forum makes my ride kinda dull =S. But yea like i said it's just an idea. Probably won't come around to doing so...

Dont be scared to have a go mate, we all started somewhere after all. Iam not trying to put you off doing some mods just suggested not touching it if your going to get rid of it in the short term.
If your going to have the car for awhile have a crack at some easy diy mods there is heaps of diy write ups on the forum and the net and its the best way to learn. Tbh most things on cars seem daunting when you havnt done them but once you rip into it you think *poo* that wasnt so hard after all. There are many things you can do with little money or expensive tools to see if its your thing.
Be warned it is very addictive once you start playing about with cars for many it becomes an obsession, passion or whatever you want to call it. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Haha cheers, yea it does look extremely expensive... and costly T.T . But yea I do like cars =P, just on a budget haha

The things you have mentioned are fairly easy to do yourself. As rigby said; I recommend going to supercheap for a length of mesh. It's always better to have more than less, and some mesh is way too transparent so you might want to double up. Good luck, and welcome

Hey mate something you should definitely do for proper DIY and looks like its done professionally is go to clark rubber and get 2meters of garage weather shield its rubber that goes under your garage door, just form the rubber under your front bumper and use screws (preferably) if you dont want problems later on and just screw them in along the bottom of the front bumper and I wouldnt recommend using ezy lip because if you're car is low and you have a ezylip you're going to have a bad time this is sooo much more durable so with 30mins of you're time you can make your car look more aggressive

Nice CC, I have an older 93.

I'd suggest if money is tight wait until the tires need replacing and get a package deal at Bob Jane. Also I would be careful going to 18" as that will mean very low profile tires an a hard ride, unless you spend money on the suspension. Maybe look at 16".

i'm running 17's and that about as big as i would even consider going on these cars.

if you want a stock cc lancer boot wing i've got one you can have for a 10er

(All depends on what you pay for the mods, WHO you are trying to sell it too, and HOW you advertise it to said audience)
