Stock Exhaust Piping size?

Hey guys.

Looking at replacing my muffler on my CH and found a 2.5" system (Inlet and Outlet).

Only looking for a sporty noise. None of this fart cannon bullsh*t.

Can anyone tell me if I can just chop off the stock muffler at the inlet and weld this one on?

or am I better off trying to find a system that will bolt on?
Been told Lukey is the way to go but short on $$$
Cheers

Any exhaust shop welding it on for you should be worth their salt, however that is a fart cannon.

You want something like this

For a true sporty sound and also you should upgrade your existing pipe to atleast 2.25" or 2.5" for a deeper and more humble note, those mufflers you posted are also defective.

Lukey/Redback/Hurricane/Varex will all set you back big $$$ but if you go to an exhaust shop and ask them to fabricate one for you it will be much much cheaper.

I haven't got the cash to spend more than a few hundred.
I've been told to stick with a 2.5" or 2.25" muffler for sound with a resonator to ensure that it isn't fart like.

What is the existing stock pipe size?

The 2.4L is 2". Not sure about 2.0L. You can get lukeys for fairly cheap if you look hard enough.

Every time I go to the wreckers, there's *fudge*all there...
I've got the 2.4L Mivec, so 2" is what you're saying BigFC?

Yeah stock is 2". I've got a 2.5" catback on mine with a Lukey Dynomax muffler. Was a little more expensive than just a straight through muffler.

You can just get a muffler, chop off the old one and have it welded on, or go back as far as you like, further you go will be more expensive obviously.

Was probably gonna be the plan.
Might look to see if I can find custom made system.
Cheers

the best setup I had was a 2.5"with a 100 cat and a Lukey ultra flow and a RPW set of extractors work well and gave a good deep sound

So I got the 2ltr. I'd like I nice note but nothing extremely loud what size piping should I go from the cat?
