Hey guys, I just got my Lancer CE 2001 4g93 1.8L a really short while ago and I was wondering what the first things should be done to it would be.
I don't know anything about cars as of this time but I'll have to start learning now since I have one :D

It's pretty much all stock...

Current mods:
Carbon fibre aircon panel (supplied by Paulie)
Blue/white LED dashboard kit (bought off Res)
Cold Air Intake
Debadged


Short term:
CD player (KDC-U549BT).
Steering wheel and boss kit.
Lancer Evo 5 Gear knob. (H0MG)
Seat covers.
AMP, sub and speakers/tweeters
Re-colouring the rear and front pillars (and maybe certain parts of the dashboard)
LED lights in the footwells
Exhaust (I need some options here)

Long term:
Power windows (unsure, power windows sometimes fluff up).
Central locking.
Neons underbody.
Body kit.
Fog lights.
Different rims.
Brake Upgrade.

Does anyone know what small things could be done that make a big impact to the overall appearance of the inside of the car?

Hit me up with information and websites aswell. Cheers guys.
 
i have a silver aluminium shift knob(fairly worn but a good shifter none the less), blue LED dash kit, and an oversized pod filter i'll give u them all for $5
 
I'll take it :p! does it need many tools to fit it all? And is there anything that the filter needs to be fitted to? (Sorry I'm a noob :p)
 
yeh the pod filter will be a massive pain to fit, its an oversized one, 4.5" or something, i used to have a pvc pipe adaptor that made it fit but dont anymore
i'll see if i can get u the specs on the piece i used to use

nah its easy as to fit with the adaptor piece of pipe i had (assuming you have a 4g15 1.5L engine)
 
Aah ok, I think I have a 4g93 1.8 mate, would that be difficult to fit it to :s? and would there be any noticable benefit in either fuel consumption or power with a pod air filter over the stock one?

But yeah I'll definately buy the dashboard kit and the gear knob if it's too much effort for the pod filter :)

pod filter will make ur intake sound sporty and give it some nice growl :p
and if u make it into a cold air intake it will give some minor power gain

it will require a bit of work to fit to a 93, you will need a maf sensor adaptor along with some reducer piping, can be made to fit, but would be cheaper to buy a saas pod the right size
 
Do you reckon I'd be able to come by and snatch the dashboard LED kit and shift knob off you tomorrow at maybe 4:00pm?
 
nah man i'll be at work then, i'll let you know tomorrow if sunday is okay, otherwise it'll have to wait till next weekend
 
LED dashboard kit, gear knob and oversized pod filter acquired from Res so, there's a few small things that I don't have to worry about much anymore.

If anyone has a black leather Evo 5 gear knob or black leather gear boot (or nice black centre console thing - surrounding the aircon panel and CD player area) i'm looking for them so yeah :)

Oh and mor31, res told me that you have the panels around the a/c and Head unit area in black and (if I'm not mistaken) glossy? and that I should see if they're for sale :)?
 
the ac surround is what i gave to paul that is now carbon look and you have. i think i gave res the head unit thing, ill have a look and see if i have another one
 
@john, from what i gathered he was wanting the center console, and he wanted a smooth painted finish, i told him you had a spare center console you have started filling with filler and i didnt think you were using it so told him to ask you if he was interested enough

Pic of my discoloured speedo, looks alright in the pic but it's more discoloured irl, what to do to make it more even?
 
Pic of my speedo, it's a bit more discoloured IRL but the camera didn't really catch that, any reason to why its not really an even colour dispersal? could I have to rotate the LED bulbs?

its cos of that 1 small white T5 bulb behind the 100/80km/hr mark making it whiter there
rotating the bulbs wont do anything if they are already working
 
yep, a white one cos i didnt have anymore t5's
but i have now found the extra 2 t5 blues, i think we also put a white t10 in there aswell cos one of the blues was busted
