1 - What is the glue/adhesive black *poo* that holds down the carpet and the plastic sheet over the interior door frame, it's sticky az and I need to find some, doesn't have to be brand specific - alternatives also good
2 - in the 1DIN holder thing under the CD player I'm making a switch panel to sit on the exterior of the compartment. How would I be able to make it easily removable but not too easy that flicking a switch or a hard bump can take it off? I've thought of magnets but they would take up too much space for the switch to be mounted from the posterior.
3 - I'm planning on having an illuminated recessed glass description pane underneath each switch. I plan on having it so that only when I turn my lights (parkers+) on they'll turn on (easy to do - tap into cig lighter source) but the issue comes when I plan on having red as the stationary light that appears when off and when I flip the switch I want the red light to turn off and the other light to turn on. How would I do this?
4 - If I have UV LED bulbs which operate between 3.4 and 3.6V, how would I be able to decrease the amount of voltage going to them so they don't burn out in 5 seconds (found out the hard way)? --to be used with the illuminated toggle switch description panel--
5 - What is the name of the mechanism on the door which detects the pressure from the door when closing and opening to turn the interior light on when on 'door' setting, I plan on connecting a light looking down in the centre console wired to the interior light to detect when the centre console lid is either closed or open (and to turn on only when the parkers+ are turned on, that's easy)
6 - What colour wires are the indicator lights OR If I wire my central locking control unit to the hazard lights will they operate when I hit lock/unlock on the blinkers or the find car button?
There will probably be more added later as I plan on fixing alot of the small things within my car as I have like a week off from INTENSE Uni as I've finished all my assignments XD
Opinion:
I plan on having my car colour themed.
I already have black foglight shrouds (projector foglights with CCFL), Black headlights (reflector housing no longer used as I have projectors retrofitted) and am waiting on 16x8 black deep dish +25 offset rims
All removable parts (rear MR pods, MR sideskirts and possibly topstage front lip, smoked indicators, black door frame and metal above it between gutter and windows, black M3 styled power mirrors, black rear facing surface of bootlid with garnishes and no spoiler). Parts to be painted in a colour similar to this will be front bar (upwards of front lip), rear bar (underneath bootlid forward to the front meeting the rear pods near the wheel arches) doors, front and rear quarter panels and the lower part of the bonnet (where up until where the ridges begin). The rest of the car being the roof, upward facing surface of bootlid and bonnet will be white.
This would mean that the parts lowest to the ground will be black and slick with smoked indicators and black mirrors/bootlid. It's very conceptual and you have to have a good imagination on what it would look like but I believe that it could work. I want to put a photoshop together of it to show what it would actually look like but I'm not a master.
Thanks for reading my essay - If I had been able to type these 663 words as fast for my assignments which actually meant something I would be a lot smarter of a man. Cheers for any help you guys provide. Peace.
