Seatbelt Torque

Hey people, going to need to remove the bottom bolts on my front and rear seatbelts, so i can remove the B and C pillar plastic covers to trim them.

Wondering if anyone knows the torque required to do them back up to? Is this CE lancer specific, or is it universal across all cars?

Iv'e heard plently of people say "just do it up tight" so don't bother, as I'm sure they didn't do that when manufacturing the cars.

Thanks guys, btw I have a CE MR coupe. ====>

Imo - do it up tight. I see no reason why it should be done up to a certain torque, as the surface shear stress and shear stress on a bolt that is tightened is magnitudes smaller than what it would be from impact loading, if the belt was pulled (i.e you crash). Not having it done up tightly can just lead to more problems than having it done up I would say.

i just do it up tight. I'm sure there is an OEM torque rate though just try to google a flight manual for it they will tell you

Had mine off before and check this on google, there wasn't any rating could find spoke to my mechanic and he said just make sure its tight.
