I find myself getting overwhelmed by model codes like ce and cc and mr etc etc. Struggling with it a bit, what with lancers and mirages and coupes and sedans and hatches and different year models it's all so god damn confusing haha. But what I think I'll go with is the Proton Satria GTi Recaro seats. I like their look and from what's been discussed here they appear to be a direct bolt on with the exact same functionality, correct? Only difference is the seat belt latches because my car is a ce coupe? So if I can find a proton satria gti at a wreckers I can just unbolt the whole seat and rail from the floor of the car (for each seat), remove the rear seats and the seatbelts and take all that home and it'll all bolt into my ce coupe without much hassle? If this is the case my only concern is the seatbelt incompatibility. What exactly is it that doesn't work and how do I solve it?
OK, well lets clear the air a little here for you, It'll make a little more sense in a moment.
If anyone picks up anything I've missed, let me know.
CC Lancers were in production from 1991-1995 (some things like seats are cross compatible with the newer CE, but not everything)
CE Lancers & Mirage were in production from 1995-2003.
This thread being in the CE section is more specific to CE Lancers and Mirages.
CE Lancers came in a few different variants for coupe and sedan, GLi base model, GLXi & MR(Top of the line) were the main variants.
There were also some special editions also released such as the Commonwelth Games Edition & VR-X, that were a cross between the basic Lancer and the MR with different options here and there.
And there is the mac daddy Evolution Lancers which are a whole different animal again, but I'm sure most of us are familiar with them
CE Mirages(hatchbacks) only came in two variants, your poverty pack base model and the Mirage VR-X, very close to a CE Lancer MR, excepting for the engine and fog lights.
And just to make things more complicated, in America they call our Lancers a Mirage, In the UK, they call our Mirages a Colt, but the UK Colts are way cooler and have more factory options. :why:
I hope that helped
