RPMs on cold start and Idle RPMs

Hi guys, I am wondering if any 4g69 CH owners can post here your RPMs (revs) on cold start and during idle (say in 1st gear for manual or 'D' for autos).
I have a feeling mine is revving too high on cold (upto 1500 rpm) and varies between 600-800 on idle in 'D' - mostly around 700 but sometimes drops heaps low to 600. This is without A/C on.
Feel free to shed some light on why my revs are like this and anything that might be causing this. Cheers.

Hey mate mine revs at about 800RPM on idle when warm but hen its cold its about 1500, I remember reading somewhere about this being normal due to it being something that's tuned into the computer to help the car warm up quicker or something.

Not sure if this is any help but its the thought that counts ??? Haha =]

Thanks DJG 90. Yeah apparently high revs warms the oil quicker which is true I guess cause when you start the car without warming up and drive off, the coolant temp increases quicker due to the engine heating up faster through revving etc...
