Roof liner. Ch lancer

Ok so my sunroof has packed up and refuses to slide closed the motor just made a grinding sound so I'm now removing my roof liner in my ch.

Ill try and take pictures for a diy when I put it together since its almost out now
 
And a MASSIVE thanks to ABS for helping me a heap with my questions.

The hardest part are the visor clips. I got angry at mine and will be doing a trip to the wreckers for some new ones -.-

Hahaha. Yeah everything's out apart from the roof liner itself. Does it come out without folding it? My rear seat doesn't fold to go out the boot

you've reached the pinnacle ;)

fold your front seats back all the way and try and slowly bring it out. It's okay to slightly bend it but folding it would cause crease marks. If your dyeing it black then you wont notice much.
It takes time, so try not to rage and fold it like paper.
 
Cheers heaps bro. I've done it =] and I didn't rage like with the clips and just destroy it.

AND!!!!! I FIXED MY SUNROOF!!!

That's the motor and the three screw that are holding it to the roof, my sub had rattled them all loose. Two were out completely.

Still don't know what all this paper in the liner was about ??

Would dying it black look good? Anyone done it before ??
 
Black would feel real stuffy in my opinion! And see, just had to be fancy with the vrx and sunroof, didmt you? ;) :p
 
The paper in the liner is strange .. hmmm
You can re-dye it to a similar grey tone to what you have now cause getting another liner with sunroof is very difficult from the wreckers and if you get the standard ones, you have cut the hole out again.
 
Hmmmm yeah could be a bit stuffy. I think I like it with no liner. Because race car??? It feels tough and like a race car driving to bunnings with it off hahaha

I've backed out of the black dye for now. Mainly cause I couldn't be stuffed then having to paint the abc pillars black too
 
Cheers abs. I didn't notice you posted up the link till now. I'm glad I did t go the black liner. Not that the blacks annoying I just would have to then get black sun visors black clips black seatbelt cover where it bolts onto the b pillar. BIIIIIG headache. I didn't think it through originally I'm glad I have now
 
Well I managed to get the liner in and all back in today and fixed the sunroof. So I'm happy didnt take overly long either. Sorry I didn't take pictures but if anyone needs any help with this in future send me a pm I'm more then happy to help as ABS did for me. What goes around comes around or something like that =]
 
Dat hektic bass unscrewing sunroofs and crap ;) top effort with doing it all today man :thumbup:
 
yeah great work. I went well into the days to get all my *poo* together.... issues after issues etc etc etc. :roll:
 
Even had time to pick up some night shade and tint my side indicators. =P

Haha cheers but I somehow managed to get everything out and back in without breaking anything. Even the hooks went back in after I bent them back straight haha

Oh sorry, I forgot you were getting rid of yours or I would've told DJG about it.
