Replacing boot locks

my boot isnt closing and seems as if the the boot locking mechanism (on the boot lid side) needs to be replaced
i knows theres 2 bolts
but how would i go about removing the cables from the key boot lock and the lever ?
 
Did u replace the boot
cause i have a ce2 and got a ce1 boot for it
but now it doesnt shut all the time u just have bend the mechanism away from u

i got the car as it is
i unbolted both parts of the mechanism and the top part dosn seem to click in on any angle
so guess thats the issue, so just trying to figure out how to pull it out without damaging the cables
 
Ce1 and ce2 boot are 100% compatible, so that won't be the issue. But it may be easier to just swap the boot over if you can find one cheaper enough from the wreckers. Just a thought
 
yea but then i would have to respray the boot lid
as its custom colour and it still doesnt answer my question of how to remove the latch boot release
 
unscrew the boot latch and unhook the boot pull cable from the latch.
if you attempt it its very self explainatory when you are doing it, screws are very visable

its very easy to do
