Purchasing Spoiler & needing to get resprayed

Heey Guys,

i'm looking to purchase a spoiler for my 2002 CE lancer, however it's red..
&& i'm needing to spray it white.
i'm from Blacktown in Sydney, and i'm trying to look for places to get it done at, but am not to sure as it's my first time.

i'm also looking at needing to get it fitted and may do it myself with the bf.
any ideas/tips on how to do it??

thankss :)

Try getting a quote from i think the unit number is about 20 on the left, number 11 Romford rd(off tattersals rd) blacktown, you cant miss it.
They do a great job in there ive sent about 10 cars to get things fixed and always A+ job and go out of their way to help.

If its just the stock spoiler perhaps look to swap boot lids with someone who has a white car, same boot and the stock spoiler?

It would save you the trouble of respray and drilling holes, and since many people dont really like the spoiler you could probably get away with a straight swap no money down, that is providing you find someone who is willing to swap with you.

Just a suggestion.

yeah the other option is just keep an eye out at wreckers for exactly what you want, ive found so many things there and yeah most places are reasonable.. dont except their first price, they can always do better. Pick and Payless have stocks online to look at

Thanks heaps :)
i'll most probably go there tomorrow.

what sort of spoiler do you have is it the factory style or the evo 5 style... if it is the factory type this should be easily scourced from a wreckers and as most people tend to have front end accidents then the rear end should be nearly perfect and you should be able to sell your holess boot for much more than the one with the spolier and boot--- I would allow $150 - $200 for the spolier to get painted and if it is the evo one then allow nearly $400 ( little bit more fiddly to do )

Mor31 said he has a red one and will give it to me for $69 including postage.
however i'm going to head to pick and pay less tom to have a look @ what is there.
i have called around and the cheapest quote for getting it painted is $200.

i'm looking at just a standard one :)

Hey Guys
went to pick & pay less today, however no spoilers :( they were taken.
so still searching. however picked up a centre consult piece for $25, as the one i have has had super glue all over it and the dealer couldn't get it off.
