So I went to pick and payless this morning before uni and found this \/ in a galant.

Anyone looking for a DOHC?

There is also another one in a Lancer, but someone has pulled the head off, and its laying on the ground under the engine. All the main pieces are there tho.

There are lots of types of lancers there. Lots have wingless boots, never seen any with MR skirts, and I doubt you will, things like that go super quick.

i think i really need to go to this pick and payless place
its been on my todo list for a long time
anyone got an address for this place?

Its down tattersall Rd in blacktown, not far from maryong station. Cant miss it, has huge signs everywhere.

So I made another visit today at the wreckers in blacktown.

Found a few sets of brilliant condition unkinked CE tails like so, I know there was a few enquiries for them a while back.

And a few CE coupe spoilers

If anyone wants stuff I can pick them up and post them out,

Also found was 2x 2l DOHC non turbo engines in cb lancers

Not that I could see, any decent car has been in front on collision. But I'll keep a lookout.

Nice work, very decent of you to keep all informed and your offers to assist are outstanding.

They are not 2.0ltre, they are 1.6ltre

There is a few DOHC engines that look alike, the CB Lancer had the 1.6 dohc, the Galant and the Hyundai Sonata had the 2.0 dohc, the Hyundai Lantra had a 1.8 dohc

Make sure you get the engine number to know what the engine actually is, many people have fallen for this

4G61 - 1.6
4G63 - 2.0
G4CN - 1.8
G4CP - 2.0

You can also look for a 1989-1994 Hyundai Sonata with a SOHC 4G64 2.4ltre engine and bolt the Sonata DOHC 2.0ltre head onto it and BANG instant stroker ;)

Nimbus 2.4ltre block will also work ;)

They both said 2.0L on the engine next to the distributor. I just assume that was the capacity. The CB also had a rear disc conversion and large front brakes (twins i think) possibly galant aswell, or something else, i cant tell just by looking, im still noob.

Haven't seen any MR kits in there lately?

Nope sorry bro, its rare to find an MR at the wreckers, and if you do, it usually picked apart beyond worthwhile salvage. But ill keep looking, Ill try to let people know a few days before I go out, so you can let me know what to look for.

Soooo, im thinking i might head out to the wreckers tomz morning providing I get this assignment done. Any requests for things to look for?

If you can find some stock VRX tail lights for a CH, and a pair of CH headlights, would be awesome :D, and I'd pay postage ;)

VRX headlights would look killer on a black car
