Phantom Driving lights location. Opinions.

Hello All,

I'm intending on putting some driving lights behind my front bar, I'm just stuck on location... Ideas??

Excuse the photos, best quality I have is iPod.


The driving lights are about 4inchs (100mm) by 1 inch(25mm).
They fit in the 2 slots either side of the number plate nice and easy but I think it may look dicky because they are right in the middle.

Anyways, troll away with suggestions.
 
I reckon mount them in those holes, won't look that bad. Or test fit them them (just sit them there) and take a photo and see how it looks....

might aswell try it and take pics then we can give u better feedback on the test pics
i dont think you should only consider that option tho, test out other places too
 
If there are holes there, use 'em. If you don't like the look of it, get the Dremel out and custom fit them in to those indentations on the side of the bumper.
 
In lots of '70's cars, additional lights were shone through the lower or centre grille... that can look effective too.
 
Yer Im going to get some wire and a relay and fuse sometime this week. I'm back to uni now so should have plenty of time to fiddle around, plus ill be walking/busing so I can leave the bar off n fiddle for a few days.

@Tryg, those cars are what made me think of it, old cars with big billet grilles with lights behind look pretty sweet.

I was originally thinking in the 2nd row and 2nd column from either side would be a good spot. Plenty of spots to mount as well.

Cheers for your ideas, Ill wire it up then place it a few places and then post up photos.
 
So i wired it up yesterday and today between uni breaks and took some photos tonight.

Bit hard to get nice shots, not many settings with the iPod, just tap and focus. But you get the idea.

Any opinions??
I thought once i did some samples it would be clear decision but now im not sure :?
