Park Brake Light Staying On

I've just run into a problem with my coupe. It seems even when I disengage the park brake, the light on the dashboard stays on. I've had this problem before but it went away but it's come back again. Most of the time it'll disappear after a couple hours of driving and the light will come back on if I hit a really massive bump. But sometimes it doesn't even turn off at all. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

take out the interior section around the handbrake (where console and that is), then make sure the clip is pushed in properly for the sensors, also make sure it is positioned correctly, if it's not making contact it will send the false signal...

IIRC the sensor for it is just one wire a earth wire check to see the wire earthed correctly

mine used to stay on all the time... then on day it decided to act normal again on its own

What josh said, can almsot guarantee its your brake fluid level, and that will also explain why it comes on after hitting a bump

Well this may sound like a stupid question, but how does the filler cap come off? I've tried twisting an lifting. It doesn't seen to budge.

Twist the other way??? Lefty Loosey Righty Tightey

yeh twist really hard and use a rag to help with grip, otherwise go get a gym membership, workout for a few months a try again.

Lol, well I got it off, was an absolute *mum* had to pop it out a little bit first. Turns out the little white floaty thing was just above the fluid level. I tried pushing it back down but it didn't stay so I got some brake fluid and it's gone now. Cheers guys.

i use an oil filter removal tool to get mine off cos im weak as hell
gets good grip and leverage on it
