Painting Rims: What paint?

hopefully, its where I'm a little stuck :(. I used motospray wheel silver for kicks on my stockos which is an enamel. No priming just sanded back and sprayed . see how it actually holds up though once they're back on the car.
 
i used 3m acrylic jet black, a couple of those scuff pad things(picture below) for got the name :lol: and took off the lacquer-ey finish on the rims. this took ages but well worth it, as it wont flake off)

drove around with them like this for 3 months with out one flake or anything, just make sure its really well sanded/scuffed and it should be fine for awhile
 
wow, that does look awesome, wondering if i should try with my vaults :p
some jet black vaults would look as bad as them chromies :p
 
that looks mint! so acrylic does the job ey. Works well for me considering I've got materials available. Should I bother priming the wheel also?

Will go pick up some paint soon....studying for a bloody summer school exam at the moment.
