Painting Interior dash parts

Hi Guys,

Getting some new Front pilar covers for my VRX (the stocks have the tweeter grille, but im mounting soundstream tweeters that wont fit onto the stock mounting location (weird stock mounts) so ive got some LD covers on order wihtout the grille so i can mount straight onto the trim. I wanna make them BLACK but ive never had much luck with painitng interior plastic, any tipe on pains and methods?

Vinyl/plastic paint. Duplicolour brand. Whatever colour you want. 5 light coats, clear coat 3 times if you want it shiny.
 
Definitely go for the vinyl/plastic paint, should get a good finish and will last a lot longer. Don't cheap out on paint for interior panels as I did. I used the australian export black paint for my centre console, and it started chipping and flaking within days.
 
so do i still need to sand if i use the duplicolor vinyl paint? i dont wanna alter the stock texture, just make it black.

No just clean it, then rub it down with wax n grease remover. Then paint.
