OBD/ECU readouts?

Just got a ELM327 scan tool which connects to the OBD port in the vehicle then to your laptop via usb. Wondering if anyone has been able to get readouts from the obd port (16 pin connector under steering wheel) on a ce lancer. Mines a 2002 4g93 SOHC and i've tried scanxl and ecuflash with no successful, they both error out. I'm guessing there is somewhere to get readouts from the ECU because the car has this connector. Mostly i want things like RPM, temperatures, mixtures, speeds and that sort of thing, i dont want to reflash it or anything yet. Anyone has success with this? would be greatly appreciated :)

for that you need a flashable ECU and a tactrix cable and the ecu files
 
yeah you can view live dat from the ecu such as intake, coolant, engine temp, car speeds, air fuel ration, air and fuel consumption and that sort of stuff. You can also flash the ECU i believe but i wouldn't be doing this will i fully understood the system :) oh and with some programs you can do a dyno on the car just be speeding down the road. I've got a cable that goes from the OBD connector on the car to the computer and i've sucessfuly logged into another car (Ford Cougar) but thats american built and their laws require them to make it easy to log into the ECU.. no idea why. Just wondering if anyone has successfully logged into a stock CE lancer ECU?
 
I have been able to get all sensor readouts from my ce coupe 4g93 2003 using tactrix 1.3u cable and evoscan. No difficulties in seeing rpm and plotting it versus anything else and showing live gauges etc. however I have yet to figure out how to read the Ron and then reflash a new one. I tried evoscan and ecuflash with the obd and flash connector and no luck

Post a pic of your tactrix cable, did you wire in to the B70 plug. as well as the OBD connector?
 
alright so i might grab one of those tactrix cables i keep hearing about. if you're gettin it on the 03 4g93 i should hopefully be fine on my 02 cause i'd say the ECU processor is probably the same. the b70 plug, is that the mitsubishi reflash cable with the 3.5m jack or whatever on the end?
