Newbie - It opens? Wat really?

Hi . I have CE lancer 98. I know this cause clever man, (aka partner) came and fixed my wayward aircon for me and that's wat he called it. I call it silver flying car- cause of the massive wing and cause its...wait for it... You'll never guess.. Its Silver!. Whatever you call it, I love love love my car.
I was all about alfettas and red.
But im converted. Or Maybe its just sports cars.. Tho a bit of muscle is never bad. FUnFunfUn.
Anyway have an admission- firstly car's been mine for over 2yrs and I drive it a lot. Has a sunroof. I been saying. "Cool sunwindow but It doesn't open. Weird hey... ," But really just didn't worry- as i think convertibles pesky, all that worry with the roof off , locking. stereo, Aussie sun, hair scarves etc. .
So Clever MaN had my car for about an hour when I get a photo of a hole in the roof. Guess what. There is a switch on the roof that opens the sunroof... And bestest it closes when you turn the key off so I can't forget.
But really? 2yrs and I swear I have tried to open it before.more than once. I think the switch was not there,,? Camouflaged.,,? In another dimension,,? How could I miss it?.

Anyway after a manual, (not gregorys). So here I am. Yeah think a manual could help me .... He hehehe
No there are lots of little things to fix /improve. Like get subwoofer secured and fix the electrical issues with the headlights, they are brightest between high and low. Not actually on high but inbetween and the beam get stronger at higher revs. Stuff like that.
Also I'm in Benalla. Very near Winton so to goto a track day would be fun. .seeya, Jude

I would suggest the Gregory's manual. You can buy em off eBay or Repco etc for about $30. Saves loads of headaches.
 
Also I believe the sunroof would be a dealership extra so there wouldn't be anything in the factory manual about it.
 
The Gregory's manual does have heaps of useful information, we call it the Bible for a reason.
Well worth picking one up.

A quick search of the forum in the CE section and you would have found it. Search function is your friend. ;)

To be honest, I've actually found the Gregory's one more useful than the ones linked above.
 
Gregory's manual was great. Now not as great since taken over by America and there isn't one for the CJ yet.
 
You may have a minor charge issue??? The headlights in ce's are pretty ordinary, when you hold the high low beam stalk in between your turning on both filaments in the headlight bulb. Being a country driver you can't go past a set of decent driving lights hella and Narva do well priced lights. The low beam is a bit trickier to stay legal, you can simply use better quality bulbs (legal) or use an hid conversion but hids are not legal for road use. There are some other headlights available on the eBay's but it's buyer beware about quality and ADR approval. I use Narva plus 80 bulbs and a set of small fog lamps from Narva also, I would like a small light bar as well but haven't worked out how to mount one neatly yet.
