So I'm looking to get a new setup on my 4g93 a mine is getting a bit past it and needs refitting properly as it vibrate and what not.
So thinking whilst I'm there might as well change it up a bit.
Already have extractors and i was thinking of doing a 2.5inch system with a highflow 2.5 cat ,resonator and a twin tip sports muffler of some deception.
I'm going to do some engine work but only n/a stuff on the 4g93. so does anyone have some good advise eg pros and cons , what setup works for you etc.
Any advise is appreciated
cheers.

When i got my exhaust done i was recommended not to go bigger than 2.25inch as any bigger would cause power loss and result in a loud exhaust. Unless your gonna do things like high compression pistons and cam work, 2.25inch is the go. I myself have 4-2-1 extractors 2.25 mandrel bent catback and hi flow cat with a 60mm throttle body and port matched intake, combined with a CAI and the 2.25 exhaust is still big enough to do more mods.

Thanks for that, what sort of muffler are you using and do you have a resonator or anything? How does it sound? I don't want it to loud or drone because my last on sounded like a screaming banshiee and considering i leave for work or return at 5am in a cultasac full of two story houses it used to eco so bad I'm surprised none of my neighbour gave me a house brick high five i really don't want to push my luck a second time.

Ye i still have a resonator to keep it quiet, ive got a berklee muffler with a 2.5nich tip so it doesnt give a barking sound but just a nice deep sound, hard to explain but its not the real typical drony sound, idle isnt loud or annoying either, but accelerating can be damn loud

That sounds good not to loud normally but if your on the gas it livens up which would be just the sort of thing I'm after, so i can sneak out of my street at 5am.

I run a 2 1/4" on the fto motor in the lancer and it bloody loud. I can hear the missus coming home from 2 blocks away.
But it is behind a 2l v6 but it also still has 2 mufflers under it.
Cheers Wade
