Put throwovers on em. depending on what your thinking of doing in the future its best to get mod plates/ engineering cents done once your finished to save multiple costs.

You need to take your car to an Authorized Certified (Engineer) and get him/her to approve your mods, and then you pay him lots and he gives you some forms.

Just put seat covers over them, or tell the cop they are factory options like from an EVO.

The defect notice if you ever get one is going to cost alot less than a engineers certificate/modplate....not that I advocate breaking the rules of course

F*k da police haha. Do wat tron says or go sleeper....make your average car even more average to make it extraordinary

im not sure who your engineers are but my mechanic said hell do it for $50... couple of other mates have gone through him so i am gonna do that

Have a crash and you will be screwed if you don't have a mod plate. Your seats need to be ADR approved too

Just think: Anything that isn't up to or exceeding the standard may bring you that bit closer to meeting your maker if in an accident. If you do somewhat walk out of it, be prepared to sell an arm or a leg to cover costs when accident investigation finds out.

I do agree if you are going to mod your vehicle to the extent that it requires a mod plate to keep you on the legit side, try to do all the major mods at once and have the whole thing covered under the one price / plate.

If your seats are ADR approved, then I'm pretty sure they don't need a mod plate.

If they have an equivalent approval e.g TUV cert. then the engineer will have to certify them and get a mod plate.

If your seats have no approvals at all. Then you will have to get and engineer to certify it, but it will be up to the engineer to speculate its safety. So I doubt you will have luc.

its more the mounts that need to be checked as swapping out for aftermarket part that could be a safty isue

seats have to be adr approved or else you wont get them mod plated without big$$$ rails also need to be approved with a cert.

as for steering wheel you do not need a mod plate but it has to be adr approved to that vehicle.
a standard adr approved cert for the wheel is not compliant by law as it has to be approved to that specific vehicle.
crash tested for that model etc. sounds a bit far fetched right??? but i had a run in with the local police here and i had an adr cert for my wheel itself which they declined.
so i had to contact the tester of the wheel and get him to send me a cert saying it has been tested to suit my car.
for the record i did beat the po po :D
then it changes again if your car had airbags from factory.
