Hey guys.

Just wondering what it will take to put a MIVEC 6A12 engine into my '00 CE coupe, ?(other then the engine) I.e specific parts or mods to engine bay including computors or wiring?
Also thinking of installing twin turbo's later down the track...

Any thoughts?

welcome to auslancer.

Nice car!

There is a couple of threads on here about engine mods and turbo's plus what engines can go in your lancer, search then for some info. We also have a couple of members who have done such a conversion, Try to find there threads and read them aswell. I think the best way to do it will always be to find a front cut that comes with everything.

Hit up unclepaulie he told me he had a couple 6a12's in his back shed.

Edit.. Found one of the threads for you

apparently its a straight swap. finding a manual mivec 6a12 half cut is rare though.

also, apparently twin turbo 6a12 motor or really a 6a13tt motor wont work in a ce lancer engine bay, has to be converted to single turbo. unless you had a mountain of cash.. then you could get the twin turbo to work.

post up a members ride thread, car in ur avatar.. looks nice if its yours!

just cut holes in bonnet for more room then add all the turbos you like....LOL

like this yeah?

id love to see a coupe with a bonnet looking like that lol!

p.s without the massive scoop obviously though

Thanks heaps guys... info was really helpful!! :) :) :) Real keen on doing this now. might do this with my tax this year... if i get enough back...

yeah its my pride and joy. I tried putting photos up but i dont know how...

Wow thats subtle lol

The problem with the 6A13TT is the rear turbo hits the firewall, you could "massage" the firewall and make it fit but also take in consideration motor movement

Apart from that you could make new exhaust manifold and relocate the turbos somewhere more suitable

Lachy is right. It's a straight swap. Half cut is the best buy. Comes with all the goodies you need. Check out www.ichiban.com.au These guys have manual half cuts coming in all the time. If you have any questions, fell free to ask. :)
