Lowering CE Lancer

Hi Everyone.
I'm new here i have had my 1996 CE lancer coupe for just over a year. I have just replaced the engine as the engine i had in my was buggered. So just replaced with the stock 4G15 engine. i have also ordered some king springs that will drop my car about 30mm. but having a closer look at my car not sure if the rear wheels are going to fit. I have 17 inch rims with 40mm of tire. so looking at the car it looks like i have about 30 mm of gap now before the springs go in. has anyone else with similar wheels lowered there lancer at all? or does any one know if this will actually fit in the rear. starting to get a little worries that i have wasted my money on these.

apart from the rims everything on the car is currently stock as far as i know. except for a few sections of the dash painted red and Red LED's on the dash. sort of going for a red theme on the car. looking at replacing the stock seats with something a little different. getting the materiel on the doors replaced as drivers side is coming off. and new carpet has been ordered as mine has hole worn in thedrivers foot well.

Thanks in advanced for any advise.

rims fit when lowered = yes
seats can be replaced with bolt in; evo 4,5,6, and proton m21 recaros, possibly even evo 1,2,3 seats too if they are all the same as the m21 recaros
otherwise other racing seats with custom rail adaptors. there is quite a wide variety

also searching does help.... im 100% sure these questions have been answered countless times, particularly the lowering one with 17" rims

welcome to the site. have a search around the site as there is lots of info on here concerning lowering and wheels. They will fit fine you may need to roll your guards, wheel shop can do this. I have super low king springs in my car and same size wheels as you can it fit fine i even had a tone of audio in the boot which lowered the rear more causing the tyres to tuck under the guards. check my ride thread to see what it looks like if you wish

thanks for the advise. i have car booked in friday to have the springs put in. worst case i have a set of smaller tires that can go on it they dont fit with the current tires. looking at my tires looks like they will just fit in the wheel gards but may need to have them rolled. then being sent in for a wheel alignment on monday.

I'm fairly certain the rears just kinda camber themselves in when they are lowered. On mine they just go behind the guards and into the well.
