Are there any other differences between the ch 4g94 5sp. gearboxes between years 2004 to 2006 in the ES and VRX models apart from the Vrx has an internal clutch slave cyl vs ES external clutch slave cylinder?
Also I see lot wreckers advertising the CH 4g69 5 sp. gearboxes as fitting the all Ch lancers from 2004 to 2008, not just the 2006 models up, am I missing something or are the wreckers correct ?

Cheers in advance

Not particularly a direct answer but I will share what I know...

The CH is year model 2003-2008 if you include production and sales years (and also the CG as a CH). This is how most wreckers will list parts for a CH. Wreckers generally don't care that one is a 2L and another is 2.4L. They'll just say its all the same, and accept the return if it doesn't. So be diligent in your purchases.

All 2L's have exactly the same gearbox's and bell housings. The internal slave / concentric slave setup is on EARLY 4g94 powered vehicles only and is not specific to any trim level. My 04 VRX is external slave for example. Any 4g94 gearbox can be converted to concentric or external as you see fit. Simply swap out the lines and hardware. I would avoid the concentric as it seems to only cause issues for people in terms of leaks ect.

In terms of 4g69 box and 4g94 box comparison:
I believe they are both of a similar generation but not the same.
Gear ratios lightly different.
Bell housings NOT the same but probably could be swapped between boxes to suit either? Unsure.
I thiiiiiiink the driveshafts are different part numbers so I would assume the splines are different but it may be length by a few mm or something silly.
