Just curious, has anyone fitted a keyless entry into their ce lancer? I've been thinking that i'm going to be fitting in a keyless entry into my vr-x, just need some opinions :) . Also i'm not sure if the MR comes with keyless entry. any info would be much appreciated :D
thanks guys

Yes mr has keyless entry, what info do you want? Brands, cost, DIY?

yeah man whatever info you have! nothing cheap and *poo*, just something that works and wont break haha !

Sorry to hijack the thread a little.

But didn't the CE Lancers & Mirages come with a factory keyless option ?

Ive been trying to find out if mine came with it from the factory.

Honestly i have no clue!! i have been looking around this forum quite alot lately and i havent found one yet... Either i havent looked far enough or they just dont.
That is a good point though!

I think they were offered a keyless as an optional extra; i installed a $100 Super Cheap Auto keyless kit myself (very easy to do, no soldering needed), and found motors already in the door and the wires fed through and all.

Mirage, CEII it is, but that doesnt really matter considering they're pretty much identical bar body shape.

Its literally plug and play, they give a sensor box, that the locking motor wires run (all with plugs already attached) into. Just screw into place, connect the plugs, and attach two wires (constant +12v and a ground.)

my car is a ce 98 mr, and it didnt come with keyless entry,
but i bought the OEM mitsi one off ebay and just plugged it all up as the whole loom was designed for it...
nice and easy, the only 'hard' thing i had to do was track down the horn wire from the fuse box and splice a wire into it,
but apart from that, the oem one clicked strait in, well worth the $60 i got it for!

I have a cheap kit at home that I got off a mate, everything works, but I need to find out what wire is what on the car, so I can get it installed and working :(
