Hi guys!

Name is Steel, based in WA now even though i am originally from NSW, doing the FIFO thing over here and kinda trapped myself with building a house and bad decisions in partners

Im a mechanic by trade and specialise in repairing and setting up diffs. Largely my background is imports like skylines, silvias etc, though have a copious amount of experience with toyotas and 4wds, so if anyone in WA needs mechanical help let me know via PM and i will happily help out, even experienced with sparky *poo*e.

History of cars is as followes (first 3 were my rally cars) Chrysler lancer LB with an astron engine conversion, 2 ford escorts, 99 wrx sti, r33 gtr, datsun 1200 coupe with a ca18, nissan 180sx and lastly an xr8 manual ute k which is now fs)

I hope to be a resourceful member and look forward to meeting a lot of the WA chapter.

PM me if anyone this side needs help with anything.

Cheers guys!

Plans are:

6a12 mivec swap w/ torsen type lsd
Extractors, exhaust and intake
Fto 5 stud conversion
Fto/cyborg cluster conversion
Power windows and mirror conversion
Front and rear brake upgrade
Brake booster upgrade
Suspension upgrade

Thats generally it. There is a stage 2 but im not going to get ahead of myself. Specially with a mortgage etc lol!

Want to keep standard computer for stage 1 just for simplicity sake. Nice and neat. In the past all the work on my last projects has all been myself except for alignments etc, which if your WA id recommend wilkinsons suspension centre in Maylands.

Thats the plan at present. Just a street daily with the occasional time trial here and there

Welcome to the forum.

We've had a few here converted with FTO swaps, Might be worth a chat with @chowetime
Chowe has had a bit of involvement with FTO swaps in WA.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your project. You'll find some useful people across this forum and if you're dedicated to the 6A check out FTOAustralia. Cheap parts, and some helpful knowledge. I, among others have completed the swap on this site and we'd all answer any questions you have. Though it's all pretty self-explanatory.
