Idle issue

I like working on my car but there are some things I'm not touching, it's my car I can choose what to fix and what to leave to the professionals.

It's nice to come here and find out what it might be so I can decide if its worth taking a crack at and so I don't sound like an idiot when taking to a mechanic.

evl20t you can swap to the EVO style body on the sohc's? i didn't know if they were compatible or not (after replug ofcourse mates got a bung isc so if we can swap it out for a magna/dohc style that'd be sweet those suckers are much easier to fault find/replace!

Sure can. I remember doin it with my car when it was NA.

If he wants a rectangled isc, I'm pretty sure hyindai sonata/lantra are the same as the sohc

Ok sorry to bring this up again, but I have sourced both a TPS and an ISC for the DOHC engine. Here's a list of my symptoms:

- Very noticeable shaking when in gear (D and R) and basically non-existant in N and P.
- The shaking seems to come and go, is never constant in when it comes and goes, and kind of comes in waves
- It is even worse with the A/C on
- Car has stalled 4 times so far, twice in R and twice in D (yeah you can stall an auto)
- Basically if you give a tiny bit of throttle and then back off completely, there's a small chance that the revs drop so low that the car just turns off. Sometimes it just drops super low and almost shuts off but doesn't. It's random in when it will do this.
- There is no shaking and no issues when there is light throttle all the way up to flooring it, only when stationary/rolling very slowly.
- I have noticed once since the engine swap that the original problem has resurfaced where the RPMs while idling in P will jump slightly, but it was hard to tell as I don't have a working tacho yet.

So my question here is will either a TPS or ISC fix all or any of these problems? If so, which? I want to get rid of the stalling and shaking, the jumping revs don't bother me.
