H4 Halogens

Putting HID globes in a car that doesnt have projector headlights is a deflectable offence, plus every driver in front of you will hate you for the HID bulb in a normal reflector housing causes light to go everywhere except where you want it to go.

Not true at all.

I have HIDs in my CJ (reflector housing) yes, they are defectable, however definately worth the investment. Just adjust the headlights down a bit to be safe.

Doesn't lowering the headlights defeat the purpose of upgrading your bulbs?

Here, this is the difference between a Plug n Play kit (putting hid globes in reflector housings) VS a true projector retrofit

A closer look at what is actually shooting around with hids in reflector housings. All those stray bits of light are blinding other drivers and pissing them off (including me) and standing right out to the copper you just passed.

be smart, do a retrofit.

Lol, I don't know what's wrong with your reflectors... Mine don't do that.

It's not about whether or not your reflectors look like that picture.

Are they defectable?
Do you look like a moron on the road?
Do your reflectors look like this?

Are they defectable? Yes, however unlikely
Do you look like a moron on the road? Not sure what other drivers think, I don't take the time to ask them.
Do your reflectors look like this? Pretty much, yeah.

Hows this for an idea

At night, go park somewhere like a carpark with your headlights on. Go stand in about 30m in front of your car, and sit on the road.

Look at your HID headlights for about 20 seconds, the average time for a car to pass from the oncoming direction. Now try to look elsewhere. If your not blinded by the crappy spread of light, ill eat my own *Richard*.

man, this is why I hate other CJ drivers.

just chiming in..

here's how mine turned out..

one night I got pulled over by 2 cop in an undercover cop car.. one of them asked for an RBT and the other stood in front of my car.. he checked the cut off beams of my lights. He seemed like he had a bit of common sense as he stepped back for about 5 meters and checked if where the cut off were at.. he probably noticed that it wasn't pointing up and was not blinding anyone and didn't ask me questions about it..

Im guessing putting projectors in gives you only one beam, so how do you find driving around with high beam on full time? im interested in doing this but no low beam puts me off a little
