[FIXED] 2011 Lancer SX - Not starting - immobiliser issue

EDIT : Fixed, The car randomly started working. I just left it there for about 2-3 hours after my last try at starting it.

Hey guys, new to the forum but I do read around.

I got a Lancer SX 2011 but I got a problem in the block 3 months ago, I switched out the engine and replaced it with the same engine 4b11. After that was done I put the fluids in and started it. Work great! No Errors and no leaks, Ran fine. I let it idle for about 1 hour and all is good. Took it for about a 4km drive then returned back to the house. I shut it off and just the Oil and water levels and all was well. I went to start it again and no go.

All I get is a couple of clicks in the engine when going to "ACC" then I hear the fuel pump running at the back, however nothing from the engine bay.
I did try to the start the car with a flat key. My mistake I didn't realize when I did this. (Had both my keys with me) I have been trying to start it with the Spare key which works great.

What I done:
Pulled out starter motor and tested it. - Works
Did voltage drop test - wasn't helping when the car doesn't even try to turn over.
Battery Voltage test - 12.78v
Replaced batteries for both keys
Tested and checked all fuses
Hand cranked the engine - turns freely, Works well.
Checked all wires and connections
did a test on the Trigger wire for the starter motor - No power is going through when trying to start the car, but I hooked up a clip and sent power through to see if the starter can work.
Friend sits in the car, holding the key in start while I hit the starter motor with power - Cranks over just perfect but no start.

all that happens, Turn key to start > Hear a pump going > Engine doesn't even turn over.
I have come to a brick wall and can not figure this out. I Called Mitsubishi and they don't even know. Called some auto electricians and tuning shops and they really don't know. every one keeps saying immobiliser is stopping the car from starting but it's not hard to find out right now. A guy has said reprogramming the ecu may work.

I have come down to the point I may just have to get a tractrix cable to just bit change the immobiliser from 1 to 0 but I can't find any thread explaining it can/would work on the es/sx/vr/vrx lancers.
Any help would be great. I may have made a few mistakes in this write up.

Re: 2011 Lancer SX - Not starting - possible immobiliser iss

Could reset the ECU and see if that works. Disconnect the battery for 15mins, connect it back up. See if the car starts, if it does let it run for like 15mins and then take it for a drive. But two things to note:

1. The car will most likely run like poo while the ecu figures itself out again for the first couple mins
2. If the car DOESN'T start from this, you've just created another problem for when you DO find out what was wrong, as the ECU will still need to reset itself before you take it for a drive.

well the car sadly didn't want to start. I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes, I plugged back in and tried to start with no luck. I unplugged the battery again and the ECU this time with no luck still.

would it be possible a sensor is playing up? I would think unlikely.
I also been reading the service manual inside and out. Can't really see a lot that can help.

Auto or manual? Checked the inhibitor switch? Checked the user manual for immobiliser configuring? Tried locking, unlocking, and holding the various buttons on the remote? Tried checking all connections within the engine bay are still plugged in all the way?

Donki, it's Auto. It's a very good point about the Inhibitor switch. I will find it and check it all out. What would you suggest?

I have checked everything in the engine bay to ensure no issues, I have pressed all buttons they all work. Boot opens, doors lock and unlock. I have checked the manual for the config of the immobiliser and none of it really helped to much.

I forgot to mention this but when I went to start the car I did hear a sound near my fuse box like a click/pop. I have checked all fuses but all are fine :/

Plug it back in if its fallen out lol.

The clicking in the fuse box would be the relay, probably the fuel pump/prime. If a fuse is blown, zero power can go through.

well it certainly hasn't fallen out. I just went over the car a bit and still the same. Rather annoying when the car was just working.
ECU wouldn't be playing up? maybe shorted out somehow, I wouldn't even know where to start testing.

Problem fixed.

Not sure what was going on but the car just started working again.

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys
