Should i do it? Lol

Im moving to Port Hedland, WA to work in the mines, wondering if it is possible/wise to drive my lancer there..

Would you deem your lancer worthy of such a distance to travel - 4990km..

Just iffy about hitting a kangroo or emu or camel in the middle of nowhere..

Buy 1 x the most comfortable seat you can find .
Its up to you 5000k is a long ass hall even if you did a 1000k a day you'll be wrecked but if you want your car there with you...
In saying that dollar wise much much cheaper and quicker to fly .
There ain't many places to go over there except work everything is so far away,
I got a few mates in wa in the mines and they all fifo .
Gl with it its not an easy place to work but if your smart for a few years you can really get your self ahead financially real quick.

If travelling from east to west then west to North I would suggest do your travelling during the day for the east west leg... this way you will avoid alot of the wildlife problems it should probably take around 3 days to do that leg have a stop over in Perth somewhere for a few days check the place out then head on up north the roads going up north are very very good.

To prep your car I would get the radiator flushed and cleaned - new oil for engine and gearbox, make sure you have a spare (please take in and get checked out) also replace spark plugs. take a small esky for water and food make sure it is full every day... and a camera the east west trip is not something you will do in a long time and it is very pretty.

It can be done, I drove my lancer from port hedland to coral bay, karijini and broome, even off road at parts. Just plan the trip well.

Where bouts in port hedland are you staying/working for?

I wouldn't do it, 5000km your bound to have some issue along the way (hopefully it will be something small), but if it's something big I doubt Norma (or equivalent) will come out and help you in some of the places along the way (roads not towns). I vote fly.

if your driving also let family/friends know along the way and that way if your a no show someone can call the police and get help
