I've been seeing alot of people asking how to install sub and amp in a CE, where the grommet to run power etc is so figured Id post something up!
First of all you need to disconnect the negative side of your battery to ensure you dont blow anything up. You then need to run your 4Gauge or 8Gauge or whatever cable you have through the grommet on the passenger side of your engine bay, the easiest way is to pull it off (dont worry you wont break anything) and then cut a hole in the side like this
run your cable through the hole you cut and feed it through until you can see it on your passenger side underneath the glove box pull it through until there is just enough cable inside the engine bay to reach the positive terminal on your battery.
on the passenger side, put the cable underneath the carpet and then force the power cable underneath the side plastic covers, and then underneath your trim like in the photo
continue to run the power cable all the way down to your backseats underneath the trim/carpet and then place any excess cable underneath the seat (pulling the seat out is easy, there is two little clips and it just pops out) run the cable underneath the seat and up into the boot
hook your power cable up to where it says 12v/power or whatever it says. hook your ground cable up to the amp where it says ground or gnd etc
you then need to attach it to metal that is attached to your car frame, an easy spot is underneath the seat mount, it makes the cable easy to hide etc. mine is attached here
if your headunit is like mine, you need to pullout the ash tray (push the metal flap down and pull) then the face plate is only held in by four clips which you can just pull out
RCA cable carries the music signal to the amp and your remote cable tells the amp when to turn on. run your rca cable and remote cable underneath the carpet/underneath the side cover exact same as the power cable except on the drivers side, run the cable behind the pedals (you can zip tie them etc if you're scared they will get in way of pedals) run it behind the pedals up into where the rear of the headunit sits.
attach the RCA to Line A or RCA Input or Amp Input whatever it says. Remote cable just attachs to where it says remote or rem.
run the cable same as power cable, except on drivers side underneath the trim etc all the way to back, remember to put excess cabling underneath rear seat
attach your RCA's to the same input that you had on the headunit, for example i have a 4 channel amp, so the first row of speaker inputs where sub is attached (the gold wire in photos) is called Line A, my RCA's are plugged into Line A on the headunit, so i plug them into Line A on the amp (pretty straight forward).
after that connect your amp to your sub, ensure you get your negative/positive right. most cable will say positive on one of the cables.
attach all cables, make sure your ground is firm, your fuse is in and your power cable is hooked up to the positive battery terminal. after that play doof doof music
