Havn't been on in a while I abandonded the lancer project work realising I didn't want to put more money into something I wasn't going to keep for a long time and moved on to restoring a VW beetle.
Anyway back to point of this post.
I have an oil leak and from what I can tell its seems to be coming from the Cylander Head Gasket towards the rear of the engine (4G15).
I was having problems with the car missing (not sure how else to explain it). I replaced the spark plugs and found that they had some oil on them.
Replacing the plugs made it run fine for a couple of weeks until the same thing happened again.
I took the plugs out to comfirm if there was any oil on them and surprise surprise there was.
So I'm wanting to replace the cylinder head gasket and hoping that solves my problems but I'm not sure if its a DIY job or better off taking it to a mechanic.
I'm willing to give it a try myself and I have a resanoble experience with cars.
Any advice and help is greatly appreciated and if any of you with more experience think I'm heading in the wrong direction please let me know.
