creased dent ?

I have a creased dent in the rear of my 2002 Ce lancer Gli, and im wondering if there is any DIY jobs of removing it or anything that can be done to make it less noticable ? Its not a 'Massive' dent, its only about 5" by 4" dent. Ive been to local smash repares but there prices are too expensive for me ($300- up). Any ideas or suggestions ?

smack it out bog and repaint? When you say a crease do you mean it's kind of wavy/warped or its been smacked in a little?

Look up paintless dent removal, although I don't think it will apply to you.

Its sort of wavy dent. Im just worried because apparently if you hammer or pull it out it will crack the paintwork ? Is that true ?
Also i got told to try using a heat gun or a hair dryer to heat the back of the dent up a little bit, but not getting it to hot, and flex the metal back to its original position. Could this work ?

that might help the paint cracking issue but I can't see you getting it back to the right shape if it's wavy. Realistically for you to get it the right shape you're going to need a respray on that panel.

If its a dent that you could kind of pop out then yeah flexing might work, but yours sounds worse. got a picture?

Yea bud ill get one and upload it for here tomorow arvo ? It just isnt letting me upload any photos on here for some reason

just use filebeam and use the image tags to link to it, takes the load off ryans hosting aswell.

smack it out, if it cracks sand back bog the rest and respray with touch up

Buy a dolly and a hammer and do as suggested above.. the use of a dolly will assist, if you can get it on the rear of the accident site...

bondo and repaint.

or buy new panels.. sure that has been said

surprisingly no one said that...didn't even cross my mind :s

Yea i suppose i could do that, but buying new panels and then getting them colour matched will be too expensive for me lol. And i might try the do dolly and hammer tho, i just hope the paint dont crack, because im trying to do a painless Dent Repair lol Tight budget..

you've got no choice anyway. The best you're going to get it without painting it is to leave it how it is.

agreed.if you havent got a few hundred to get a professional paintless dent remover THEN LEAVE IT ALONE!!
it takes too much skill to use a hammer and dolly, youll end up stretching the metal and it will flex like a coke can.
then having to get the area painted and blended as well is just as hard.

if you can post up a decent pic of this dent, i,ll get my dad to have a look so he can advise you how to push it out.

Cheers

your selling your car, but your making a million posts on 'how to modify my car' and other SPAM crap like that... do you have another lancer or are you just trolling?
cause everything your doing is pretty pointless if your car is for sale...
