Coopers 2003 CG lancer

Bought this 2003 CG lancer the other week as my CE was written off by some driver not paying attention. Rear ended me at the lights, was a sad day loosing the nugget. It had coil overs, exhaust, FTO steering rack and was about to have a rear disc conversion.
Decided to move onto this granny spec CG, going for an OEM+ sort of build. threw some BC gold coil overs in today and planning on a 2.4 swap. love the look of the CGs and want to do this one right. Trying to get some 16 inch rims for the car to get rid of the steelies soon.
planning on updating on this car every once in a while.
on a side note if anyone in SA has a red bonnet in good condition or a VRX body kit in red let me know

4x100 might be better for wheel options in 16” but if you decide to, the 5x114.3 swap from a Vrx ch is pretty easy and gives you disc brakes all round.

Evo steering rack is a good option to reduce the steering ratio.

2.4 is a good motor, but you can have some fun with the 2l for the same money. I turbo’d mine, pretty happy overall.

No arguments from me, the CG’ s have a lot more possibility’s for parts swapping and aftermarket kits etc, better than then the later CH model, as SDate-42 mentioned for mods, I agree that the 16” would be better size all round for ride and handling now that you have fitted some BC Coilovers, good luck with the modding !
