[CG/CH] What's your average km's per tank?

Hey all,

Just wanting to find out what everyone gets to a tank?

I have a 2.4L CH with extractors, high flow CAT, CAT back, K&N Apollo CAI......was getting about 400km's a tank with the windows down....

now I have had my air con fixed for a week and it seems I am only getting about 320-350 a tank....

also - has anyone come accross the P0657 code? Could this effect mileage? I did a random scan the other night and found I had this, but the CEL isnt on....

550kms, costs about $43 to fill from empty line
thats even with aircon

is that the 2L or 2.4L? Mine costs about $50 to fill from empty to full....does yours chew oil?? Like i probs have to fill up the oil twice in between services (15,000km's)

Re: What's your average km's per tank?

i have cg vrx that is stock and i get 500 km to a tank for the 2.0l (using 40ltr out of the 50ltr before the fuel light comes on)
i also loose about half a ltr of oil inbetween services (10,000 km) but this has only been happening for about the last 2 services (150,000 km on the engine)

Posts not related to the CH/CG Fuel consumption have been CLEANED

As for me, I get 400 when my light comes on, but I rev hard off every light and I purely drive city. So ~roughly 500km a tank.

Re: What's your average km's per tank?

Also if you are looking to compare consumption I would suggest working it out in L/100km, kms per tank is a rather poor way to measure fuel economy

Also ad for your fault code this thread would seem to suggest it's a possible drive-by wire issue... http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/techni ... d-ecm.html

Often a code can be pending in the ECU but not trigger an CEL until the ECU sees the fault a number of times in a row. If the car is performing as normal and no issues (in particular with the throttle) then I wouldn't worry about it for now and just clear the code from the ECU. Check again with your OBD scanner in a week or so and see if it has reappeared....

Wow i thought it would have been a bit better fuel economy and not to go off topic but my former CJ was doing 650-700 a tank on premium and the ralliart does 400-500 depending on how i drive it. Still good compared to other cars of it's time like a VY commodore or a ba bf fraud falcon but obviously alot of technology changes to pull the higher fuel efficiency. Dingle you may need to get someone specialised to look into those fuel numbers though they seem quite low i reakon you should be achieving at least 450-500 if it's mivec.

I have a K&N panel filter and a 2.25" cat back. I get about 10L/100km and that's with a pretty heavy foot. I feel it could be better but apparently the factory tune isn't the most efficient one.

4g69..
330 is the least ive got on a set of 18 wheels heavy footing around town..
400 is around average on 17's combination of highway and city..
600 is the most ive gotten on 15's highway driving, sydney to goldcoast.

4G69 2.0L CG 2003 lancer.

Anywhere from 425 - 575km per tank. Depending on how much i thrash it.
Mine is stock except pod.

4G94 man :p 4G69 is the 2.4L

I never run my tank down low but I always check my consumption after filling up.
On average I average 8.2/100kms doing my weekly commute, but just did a trip to cootamundra and back and averaged 7.8, this was with cruise on a lot of the way.
(2.4 auto)

2 litre 06 es sports auto 10.87 kms per litre. 9? litres 100kms? 95% highway cruise on with tiptronic in fourth. Would like to try e10.

E10 i find use a little more but too close to compare. I was curious so i started keeping a log.
Highway/city cautious driving
Lancer 06 2.4 manual
335km-24.87L-7.42/100km Unl
333km-25.18L-7.56/100km E10
330km-24.67L-7.47/100km Unl
338km-26.17L-7.74/100km E10

I have an app on my phone that i enter my odometer and litres filled into every fill-up, only had about 5 fills since getting the car but i'll keep it up on an ongoing basis.
2.4 lancer, manual. with a solid mix of freeway/suburban driving. 100% stock at the moment, and although I don't drive like a grandma, I usually don't thrash it and shift conservatively.
average 9.0/100 overall. been using 95 caltex lately and found it's not as good.
best tank I got was 8.6/100 with similar mixed freeway/suburban driving on BP ultimate 98

Android app called ucar good for tracking economy. Can work out other costs as well. I have not found a better one but still looking for one.

I have an '07 2.4 which I use for work which means I have kept complete log books on fuel usage.
I would estimate I do about 50/50 normal driving to thrashing as well as 50/50 highway to city
I get the most km per tank using 98ron fuel (ave. 480ish) but it seems to run better using 95ron (ave. 450ish)
I have completely stopped using E10 as I could only get about 390-400km to a tank.
