CE Lancer coupe MR Factory Remote Programming

Has anyone successfully replaced keys and/or remote for the CE Lancer without the need to go to a dealership?
 
i am pretty sure it can be done.

The place I got the new remote from says instructions are in the owners handbook (which I dont have)
 
that looks easy enough, can't get it to work? Maybe your not making contact on the jumper?

edit: can you use a spade connector to jump it?

It can be done, I have a copy of the instructions. I've used them to pgm a 3rd remote, one of the 3 button ones in the shape of the Mitsu symbol.

just buy a lancer manual from supercheap/autobarn, gregory's i think there calls

Excellent info! I knew it could be done
Just tried it now and it worked perfectly

Also had the same info from my local Mitsubishi Dealer today
So this is the proper official way too
