CE lancer 99 model with unkinked tail lights

so im looking at a ce lancer thats supposedly a 99' 1.8L gli model but has unkinked tail lights. i thought by 1999 they were all kinked (meaning gli ii)


or am i wrong ?

quick reply would be nice i want to buy this arvo if the info is correct! haha

99 - 00 is when it changed i think

The change over for car year models is usually in the middle of the year. if you want to get specific you need to look at the month aswell/.

I have two unmolested CE when originally bought one is a Gli 1999 with unkinked tails and a MR 2000 unkinked... I think mid year is about right for when they changed.

if this is purely about trying to make sure its actually a '99 or not, why dont you look in the engine bay on the plate where it says when the car was made?
