cc Lancer fuel pump question

Hi i am in the process of replacing a fuel pump in a cc lancer wagon

My question is does anyone know if the bigger pump from a gsr would fit in the cc wagon fuel pump cradle?

Also since they are high flowing and pump more fuel, Would it effect the car in any way or would i be best just to replace with factory pump?

I only ask because i can get a 255lph high flow pump brand new cheaper then i would if i brought a standard pump

Its about a $20 difference so any help will be much appreciated

E.g, Your pump is upgraded. What is the next bottleneck in the line going to be? Injectors of course. After that, your fuel rail or pressure regulator will be, and fuel hardlines. Unless you've upgraded injectors to suit, it wont make any noticeable difference except burning more fuel.
Higher flowing pump means more pressure in the rail, but your injectors will still open and close at the same rate, initially allowing more fuel in due to higher pressure, but will instantly adjust (o2 sensor) and spray less to keep AFR in check. If the higher rated pump fits and is cheaper, go for it, but note that the car will adjust to keep emissions and AFRs in line, so it wont do a bit deal at all.

You wont have issues just by changing the fuel pump to a 255. I was running a walbro in my old wagon for years with the stock inj and fpr

Also to tell you the truth, its not worth upgrading the fpr, we are pumping 550hp out of our EVO2 still running stock rail and fpr and that's running a 255 pump as a feed to 2 x 044 bosch externals pumps

Well its a pump my company i work for sells, Its a Raceworks branded pump with a 2 year warranty
Raceworks is our new brand that was unveiled at motorex in melbourne this year

Only reason i ask is im replacing the old one and this was cheaper than a standard bosch one for it

So would it use more fuel?

Not enough for anyone to notice. If anything, you may remove any hesitation and fuel starvation issues, although this wouldnt be an issue on our cars
