Hey guys i baught a steering wheel and a boss kit for my car (98 gli coupe - lancer CE) anyway so after we installed it all, the car steel beeps but it doesnt turn on.. we then took it all off and put the original one and it still doesnt turn on..
BTW guys the car still does BEEP when you turn the key twice (into the power thing) .. and the car is full of fuel and it also has electricity comming to the engine so the battery works.. also all the fuses are fine!! all help will be appreciated.

so does the car go to start like turnover or it just dosent make a noise as if your batterys dead flat?

My batterys full, and yes it does turn over but doesnt start

possibly a coincedence that you changed the steering wheel & your started motor or fuel pump has gone i've had both these problems

its cranking so its not the starter motor...listen for fuel pump.. you might of busted a fuse while taking the steering wheel out or reinstalling it... a car wont start for 3 reasons, fuel starvation, spark and timing.. its pretty hard to *fudge* up your timing so just test for fuel and spark.

sounds like when you removed the steering wheel you either

A. shorted a fuse ( under the dash, make sure you check them ALL )
B. broken an actual wire in the ignition
C. got the wrong car

had a problem with an old mopar today at the hod rod show, some P plater camped next too me, had the same problem.

get your ignition barrel checked out

dont you hate when you get your autotechnica steering wheel from ricebarn and u get home install it and BAM your in someone elses lancer...

its under the cover in your dash, really easy too find.

just look under your dash on the divers side n you will find a fuse box

alright man find the fuse box under your dash its basicaly directly above your accelarator pedal just a little to the right & it has like markings on it as your engine bay one does & too check them pull them all out & if there broke replace them, easy :)

NOW if all your fuses are still good but the car wont start do this,(i am not joking here i am being serious for once in my life)

you sit in the drivers seat ready to start the car

get a mate with a big stick or somthing thats failry hard & long(not your c*ck lol) & get him to hit the fuel tank under the car as you crank the motor & if it starts its your fuel pump

good luck mate

Good troll droid2, lmao man and i was planning to get a new system on wednesday.. if it doesnt turn on by then i will get my car towed to the exhaust system i need my system

Do you even know what a troll is?

in all serious was droid2 for real or is that bulls**t...?

just wondering becuase it sounded half real and half bulls**t

^ hes a wog.. i wouldent believe him.. a normal person would just listen to hear if the fuel pump is priming before hitting a soft metal container full of fuel with a stick...

FFS why does no one take me seriously?, when i was on my L's i went out with my step dad & when i went to start my car while we were out it would just turnover but not start so we walked down the road to a mechanic he followed me back to my car had a look around for 10 mins & said i'll be back in a minute comes back with a baseball bat looking thing & said hop in your car & i'll tell you when to start it said start it & he hit the fuel tank with this bat thing & the car started after he hit it & then he said the fuel pump was stuffed so i got a new one, & in future when i spesafie i'm being serious i am i'm not a BS artist ok?

alryt, i just wasnt sure, because it just sounded a bit unrealistic, i thought the fuel had to travel up to get to the engine and wondered hwo hitting the tank would make it go up the tube or whatever

well i'll take ur word for it then

its not about the fuel traveling its just sort of making the fuel pump work it worked for me to get home i turnded it off at home & it did the same thing again, got my mate to hit it with his hand & wallah it worked but fuel pumps are like $80 & takes 2hrs to replace thats with myself & my pop doing it & we had never done it before
