Buying a car that's been sitting around a while, tyres

I meant I'd have to go up to pay him anyway since I'm not going to take cash on the day. Rather not pull out that much money unless I know it's going to be spent. and atms got a 1k limit a day.

You can ring the bank and get this raised....

If you can pay and get the rego papers all on your first visit then it'll be easiest to just organize a towie to pick it up for you...

One thing to keep in mind is that in your como the rear shocks probably wont be upto the challenge of holding up the trailer well with 1.5T on it.

I can't get it raised need to change to a different type of card to do so and havn't had a chance to do it yet. I'm on whatever they give kids who are under 18 still lol, I usually just go withdraw in person if I need more than 1k at a time.

Scrap me towing it, looks like its not the best idea. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Either way ryan vicroads are conveniently closed on Saturday. I could do it over the phone but I still need a printer or a fax machine to get the paper to 'display' on my windscreen. I'd rather just give him a deposit on the day and think about it anyway.

Was talking to dad about it and in his words 'if it ****** starts I'll ****** drive it back, don't worry about the permit'

If ATMs have a $1000 per day limit, why not use a bank teller to get more...

Tip for young players!

Sorry, hard to resist...

yeah figured that out now :p, thanks. I'm with a credit union though which makes things a little trickier. Found out I can go through the commonwealth now though :)

this sale fell through anyway. Back to the drawing board, if anyones got some suggestions of where I can look for some older cars that'd be great. Mainly looking at 70s kingswoods/tonners/statesmans. So far I've been using gumtree, ebay, carsales and the trading post.

Problem is not supply, as much as worth... Most are now fetching premium dollars for anything half-way decent....

I would suggest most worth anything are worth $10k or more now....

I did sum up going for a 202 but deemed it not worthwhile since I'll never be happy with it and it will end up with an 8 in it....

That 5l Statesman doesn't look bad for 4k though.

I'll have a look at the sites listed, thanks guys never knew about justauto or uniquecarsales.

The problem these days seems to find something that's been..well...unmolested. I don't want something that's been done up, had bits and pieces swapped for the hell of it etc. Just something that's been maintained, asking a little much considering the age of these things but still :).

found heaps of interest on just auto. Bookmarked a good 10 or so to ring around about tomorrow :)

edit: uniquecarsales appears to have the same cars as carsales does lol
