If your current car is fairly stock, I would suggest you sell it and purchase an existing manual lancer. This is the cheapest way. Swapping one over is a lot of work, expensive and you're stuck with a spare gearbox. If you're really dead set on doing it, you can contact luie (llovero@lltracing.com) who is fairly cluey about this. But if you don't have a few $ks to have it done, you'll just wasting peoples time.

I'll do it myself lol, my dad is fairly good with cars

Its a tad more than just throwing in the box, holes must be drilled in the firewall (illegal btw) unless its signed off by an engineer, must run cables different ecu and wiring loom, clutch lines and a reservoir need to be run.

I'd expect no change from 2 grand.

just trying to save you some cash/pain/embarassment mate. its not that simple a job. you have to weigh up the effort of converting to manual vs moving all your mods to another car. pick the path of less effort/cost.
