Hi All
I know im not the first to post about this issue im having but i do want a few questions answered clearly and concisely
thanx in advance,

Ok so i have had my mirage 1997 for i little over a year now and im looking to spend some money on it one to gain power and two to make the car handle a perform better,
im looking at the 4g69 swap for the 4g15.

ok so from what i have read the 4g69 uses the same mounts as the 4g15 and the gearbox couples strait up (please let me know if i am mistaken) i also will be fitting a injen cold air induction and a set of genie extractors and exhaust system, i have order the body kit suspensions and vinule which will bring the car bak to life i also have a whiteline sway bar and strut brace waiting for the other mods.

the car will be a weapon but need to know if anything is going to stop me from doing this conversion thanx in advance for all info provided

What you have read is wrong.
You cannot use 4g15 mounts or gearbox.

You must use the 4g69 tranmission housing mated to a 4g93 transmission. Then you use the 4g93 gearbox mounting.

For the driverside mount you can use an evo mount or a 4g93 mount flipped upside down.

There is no point with any Injen cold air intake kit as there is no such kit to fit such an engine swap. You need to make up a custom intake to suit your needs, either a short ram or cold air intake.
For headers use any 4g69 header and modify lower front pipe section to mate to your cat and build from there.
2.5inch exhaust would suit

I guess we should say welcome too. Hens would be the man to listen to here.

ok so i would like to say thanx to all that have had an input:

so i M TREADING ON UNCHARTED TERRITORY WHICH IS RIGHT WHERE I WANT TO BE:

well i can see hens seems to know alot about the 4g range of engines

so my questions no lie with anyone with knowledge of the 4g range of the engines

so my understanding is this mounts do not need to be custom made just need to be switched around upside down.

ok so that part just confused me a little so i cant use the 4g15 box got that

4g69 tansmission housing mated to a 4g93 transmission i dont understand

if im using the housing of a 4g69 transmission housing y not just use the whole kit and bolt it in Q: will the 4g69 engine and box bolt strait in.

and if i need to use the 4g69 transmission housing do u mean the transmission case or the bell housing please clarify if i need a 4g69 trensmission and a 4g93 bellhousing thats easy i can do that as stated above please clarify.

by the way once its done i will post photos:

again thanx to all who put in and clarify what i need, hens if possable are u able to clarify your statement and if u can give me a list of what i need to get the job done: to the question above yes i will be doin all the work under the intrction of a qualified mechanic my best mate: im a engineer so shouldnt be hard to get any real work done as long as i can justify the money im spending to the missus
