4g15 dohc

Do you have a CE Mirage/Lancer 1.5 with DOHC conversion, or a newer Colt with the DOHC turbo motor?
Not sure if the gaskets are the same, if not the CE Mirage DOHC conversion may be hard to come by or may need ordering online
 
new colts all came dohc, regardless of T or n/a
and yeh repco supchep etc will order it for you

or if u have a rage/lancer 4g15
best bet is ebay TBH
 
Cannot tell you, but if you are searching online keep in mind the CE Mirage is actually a CJ Colt and a CE Lancer coupe is a CJ Mirage Asti, both of which came in the 4G15 DOHC.
I am sure people at ukcolt.org would be able to help you out as they have these motors

no the newer colt engines are different, same engine number of 4g15 but the head and everythign is very different

ebay should have what you need
 
Look for a guy called Luie (LLT Racing) on facebook and find his contact details. He sells the DOHC conversion kits so I would expect him to have or be able to source what you need.
He's located in Sydney
 
Hmmmmmmmmm.... deal with him first then get back to us. Pretty sure OP does want to receive the gasket sometime this year so would be steering clear. On this forum alone there is one satisfied customer, one who is about to find out if he's satisfied or not and there would be close to 20 now that have been burnt.
 
Lol yeh a rocker cover gasket of Luie would be about 6 months lol, although he does always pull through in the end.
 
Yeh I know what u mean, a friend of mine just got his lancer back last night after 4 months of MIA, needed a new timing belt tensioner, and cam tray :/
 
I've dealt with Luie a bit, never had any troubles :eh:

RPW would be also worth an ask for sure, another good mob :thumbup:

That's a bit harsh...don't make it out that he is out there to scam us. His only problem is he will never turn away business whether he has the parts or not. You just have to be able to distiunguish what he actually has in stock. If nothing else, his knowledge alone on our cars should be enough for us all to show some respect to him.

Well when you pay for something up front that he tells you he has in stock, then it takes 4 months before you receive it, in the process hearing a different excuse every fortnight when you ring to find out where it is, I wouldn't really call that great customer service. Clearly he didn't have the part so why would he say up front he did? If he was upfront and said, sorry I need to order it in and it could take a while then fair enough. Any reasonable person can live with waiting when they are told the truth. Not hard to be honest with customers, you shouldn't lie just to get business.

Also why should it be up to a customer to distinguish what he has in stock and what he doesn't? Sorry but that's ridiculous. If he advertises that he has something, then it is not unreasonable to assume that he does have it. Even after that experience I went back to him twice for customers through work and ordered another two items off him to give him the business. Neither were ever sent so it was my reputation being affected. And there are many on here in the same boat as me.
