Hey! I'm new to this forums so hey! :D

I've got a 2005 Lancer VR-X, I'm 17 on my P's so obv, im looking for mods :) my car has a 3.5' exhaust and is a little lower then the stock models that ive seen, im not sure what the guy did before me, but there are also scrape marks on the inside of my wheel welds. big scrape marks...
anyway, im looking to lowerrrrr it even more, not camber yet cause im still looking at rims that i like for the price im looking at, i cant seem to find any good, reliable coil overs/springs... if any1 has any... sites or brands, specifically, could u link it to me? ive looked at Eibeachs and King Springs (KCRL-48) and other ones, but non of them seem to be right i guess. i want it low, but legal low cause its Australia so coil overs would be the go, if i can find some cheap(ish) and good quality.

Thanks!

If you want it for cheap, just drop in springs. Coils are nicer but on a budget springs are great. Check the catalogues for what your car needs and then send enquiries to diff websites about springs for your car to get an idea of cost.

Drop as in cut? or drop as in, get new coil sleeves? i would like sleeves but I dont know how low it'll go, and i dont reallllllly wanna spend like 200$ for sleeves and get fined for having a low car. my brother nearly got a fine for that, rolled a lil thing under his car, luckily he was low on fuel, otherwise it would of been a fine. If u know of any legal spring sleeves, send me a link, willing to spend like 500$ on quality sleeves but their only like 250$ so yea.

Never cut springs dude, worst idea you can ever have. Springs are coiled at a certain height at a certain rate at a certain strength depending on their purpose. Stock springs cut to ride like super lows will ride like *poo* and also be dangerous as fuark because you've killed the strength and intensity of the spring itself. Bye bye shocks 10x faster than regular super lows.

BC Racing Gold Coilovers are probs your best bet. Looking at around $1000, adjustable height etc etc etc and the best all-round price/performance/reliability coilover you could get for your CH.

Also, are you sure the exhaust is 3.5"? Do you just mean the tip/muffler? Because 3.5" piping is even bigger than what you need for a built turbo build.

3.5 inches, yep.. i never said i was gonna cut my springs? im totally aware on what happens to them and why u shouldnt cut them, or heat shrink them for tht reason. not an idiot here... thats why im asking what sleeves/coilovers i can BUY to lower it.

Ill check again, but as i remember its 3.5 inches when i checked.

Didn't say you were an idiot, but you did ask if someone meant cutting springs, so I answered you. Don't ask a question if you don't want an answer. Wtf?

sounded like u where calling me something close cause I THOUGHT someone said 'cut ur springs'

My ch is on Bc gold coilovers, goes plently low at the front but my taste would like the rear lower too, but I like my cars sitting on the ground. Tbey have adjustable camber tops on the front and tbey have noticable camber too! Adjustable stiffness, hard is stiff as fuaaaark, but soft is sooo comfortable.

Has anyone just used lowering springs before?

Lows are fine on stock shocks. Superlows are fine to but will ruin your shocks really quick. (Like every 20,000kms or so depending on what brand you get).

Anyone running just spring sleeves that they would recommend for a 2005 CH lancer VR-X? for like 200-300$? Lil more lil less doesnt bother me. but arounddddd there?
