I have a 2004 lancer when indicating right my hazard lights are coming on. Left indicator works as normal. Have checked fuses, globes. Has anyone had this issue?

Bump the hazards switch in and out a bunch of times. Worth a try

Likely your best bet. Havent seen it in a lancer before only an e21. I was pooing myself that I couldnt turn the hazards off and I hadnt even tured them on. Spammed the button and then it went away.

If you have the chance, try swapping in another indicator stalk aswell. My have some funky internal short that activates ghe hazard circuit.

Cheers for the advice, have now tryed spamming the hazard switch. Worth a shot. Removed and cleaned curcuits in indicator stalk. Will go to local wreckers during the week and try swapping it out.

I was talking to mmal the other day about the passenger airbag recall for my 05 model and they said there is also a recall for the indicator/headlight switch.
Not sure what the problem with it is but it might be worth a shot

Yes there was a recall on the switch, the dealers checked the base of the switch for soldering defect in the printed circuit board, if your board had cracks showing in the solder than they replaced the assembly, if it didn’t they just left the switch alone, hoping you didn’t develope related problems in the future.
I don’t believe the problems are related, but who would know what would happen over more years passing, I’ll check the wiring diagram later just, but more likely a short somewhere or leakage to another circuit, try Jamiep68 suggestion, pick up s/h switch from wreckers and swap it over and check earth connection.
