Your talking about the V frame that seperates the boot from the cabin right? Around 50 bucks each one. Same part both sides from what i can tell.

It seems like those are missing the base plate at the bottom of the V though?

What about the radiator support brace if you can find the part number to that?

I see. If its not already there then i dont think i can find it. Ive looked everywhere and cannot find the part and no pictures refrence it either.

Rad support brace ill need a pic of to know what im looking for.

Is it even oem?. No diagrams for evos have it.

I think its non OEM as well, can't find it anywhere looked at 4 parts sites & numerous searches, doesn't look that hard to knock one up, might be easiest way out?

It is OEM.
I don't think evos have it as the FMIC might be in the way?
But it's definitely OEM available on the RS Asti MIVEC

Ok, i didn't check out the Asti RS, only Evo's, will take another look

I highly doubt its OEM, Is there actual holes in your rad support for it to mount to already there?

I know it might not always be the case, but my CE 1 boot had notches that make it obvious where holes would of been for certain bolts for additional parts.
Even that rear seat frame mine has all the bolt holes for ready to bolt in as well as those extra braces between firewall to strut towers if I had them. Looking at a few pictures I cannot see pre determined holes for these and even on pictures of new rad supports dont have them.
So if my car has those holes there ready for those parts to go in but not that one, im going to assume its not OEM, however, it could be because mines a sedan frame, if your coupe frame however doesnt have them already there then again I dont think its OEM, because they woudlnt make multiple frame versions for different trim levels and addons unless its a year revision that was an afterthought. Considering those rear seat braces started in there 96 models onwards its pretty damn early in whatever revisions they did.

I am not sure when the Asti RS came out year wise but from my research those are standard equipment on the RS hatch and coupe versions.
The sedan never received them has a different rad support too so your car not having provision for them isn't definitive.

Yeah as I said, it could be because mines a sedan, however none of the pictures of Asti RS's i have found stock have it and the parts list for the front structure does not have it there, nor does it have extra parts in the list compared to other Asti's or CJ4A's for that matter, I even checked the Hatch Cup versions, Cyborgs, and RS r.ver model. Also I believe Asti RS's started in 96.

The pictures I've seen of RSs without a front bar have that brace.
And I am sure I've read it on the UK site that it is an OEM part.

Then it might not be a jdm part. It might be a uk part. However the 2 pics befores bar is mounted differently to the one you sent previously. The one above goes behind. These two go in front. Im gonna doubt both are OEM.

Ive asked someone who sold them recently in ireland if they know anything about them. They are advertised as jdm RS front Braces

Ok, i give up at the moment, i've done searches on everything to do with CJ4A also on Asti RS RX's , I've searched Asti, Asti RS mivec, Asti rs cross brace / brace / radiator brace / support brace radiator / strengthening bar / blah blah blah and couldn't find anything listed. I did find a mention in a english/irish performance site, they did mention that they had one fitted, nothing else, not even a pic.

I not saying it didn't exist at some time as an option from a 3rd party supplier to OEM (ie: similar to likes of JDM etc) but i can't see it anywhere on the net now, back in the 90's the internet was only getting a hold and many suppliers did not have anything remotely resembling a decent web site / online parts catalogue's ect, so i'm not surprised info is extremely difficult to find on these.

I've learnt the hard way since the 70's that many manufactures did not always advertise everything they did or special vehicles (SVO) parts/accessories that they made over the years, so just because you can't find/see/locate something doesn't mean it did or does not exist.

With those pics above you can see that the welds look at bit rough indicating someone repaired or fabricated them at one time, but some of the other pics look good quality non OEM or OEM as the case may be.

For those who are asking My car is the factory rx version r.
Its shell is an rs asti with all the factory options such as twin pots / electric windows/lsd box / rs engine ect

Does it have the radiator brace like the one pictured above?
And when does MIVEC kick in?
