HI BRENDAN HERE.

Hi guys and girls.
I have had many mitsi's over the years from colts/mirages/galants/fto's/magnas/tritons and evos.
Currently have a mivec mirage coupe asti rx tucked away in a shed while im traveling .
I am big into rom disassembly and code modification in particular the h8 ecu found in a lot of oz mirage/lancer evo 5/6

Love the site.
Brendan.

You'll be wanted around here, a few of us have tried a bit in fiddling with the H8 ECUs, with varing amounts of success lol

Cheers man.
I have a 1.5 Dizzy rom made with big maps for boost and map sensor set up amoug other things like basic ecu boost.
Im willing to give guys with genuine interest a helping hand with anything I can.

She needs a good overhauling and I hate the front bar I only used it because I did not want to cut up the stock bar for the intercooler.
but you get what she looks like.

Looks good. What kind of power is it making?
I don,t have dyno numbers as it was road tuned but it is faster than a stock evo 6 from 3rd gear onwards.
It has got Forged eagle b16a rods and cp 10 to 1 comp pistons on around 18 psi boost I could not tune any higher on the road with the wheel spin.
When I get back to it I will be putting it on a hub dyno to find the optimum cam timing as I have dialled out 4 crank degrees of cam overlap which made a huge difference .
What ever the power its fast for sure.

Was this converted to MIVEC or an actual Asti RX?
I can see those additional braces between the strut towers and firewall so it looks like a real one

I believe the RS had those from factory . Not the RX. But i could be wrong and or was a dealer fitting. You can actually buy them new about 50 bucks each side.

Edit woops 20 bucks a side. Pretty cheap actually, would make easy mounting points for gas strut lifts :p
Might aswell share part numbers

MR325421

Yeah I was aware you could buy them new still.
Do you by chance know the part number for the Asti RS and Evo V bracing behind the rear seats?

Astis also had the trunk floor bracing, rear subframe bracing and radiator support bracing but I think these parts would be too hard to find and would not really offer much gain
