where to mount fire extinguisher

ok, long story short i had to get some fire extinguishers for home, so i thought id get one for my car for the hell of it
so im just wondering where you guys think i should mount it? or can you think of somewhere else which would still look neat?

under the passenger seat (checked and it clears when seat is moved forward)

mine hangs from the parcel shelf underside..

Your second pic looks good. Don't think under the seat would be good, anything sculling about might trigger it unnecessarily...

Its quick enough to get out of your car and deploy it from your boot... coincidentally, my first aid kit lives there too.
 
yep mine is attached to the passenger RHS wall... well was, took it out and haven't put it back yet, but will one day

think of it this way

if a fire does break out in ur car, do u want the extinguisher to be within ur reach (passengers footwell) or out of reach and perhaps impossible to access at the time (in the boot)
 
yeh, few good point raised for both boot and foot well
but i reckon i might have a look 2morro and pull up the carpet and see how to mount it, if its gonna be too much time/effort, i might whack it in the boot till i get some time to place it in the footwell

I reckon pass side in front of the seat for easy access if needed & mount it on a bar if you don't want to drill holes in your floor.

ok, its mounted (1st pic on 1st post)
i chose under the passanger seat/footwell
it looks nice and neat and its in a practical location and not in the way, lets just hope i dont need it in the near future :p

lol, true that, but then again if im using it, it means something went horribly wrong ;)
granted i will prolly end up using it when i go to bathurst for the v8's for shiz and giggles
 
footwell... becomes a missile hazzard in an accident.. but least it will be somewhere close at hand (if not bashing you in the scon)
 
hopfully it is secured nice and sturdy, tho i wouldn't trust the fire extinisher bracket on its own.

thats like buying a car with airbags, you have the risk of a crash, yet you hope you dont
